Every Child Deserves a Book
Helping parents swap screens for books.
The process
How It Works
From your donation to a child's hands — here's how we make it happen.
We Collect
We run book drives — gathering gently used and new books from generous donors like you.
We Sort & Deliver
Our student volunteers sort books by age and reading level, then personally deliver them to partner elementary schools.
Kids Read
We donate the books we get so schools can build their classroom libraries and encourage kids to love reading.
Our story
Students helping students — because we know what a book can do.
Books for Buddies was founded by high school students who saw a simple problem: kids in under-resourced schools didn't have books. So we did something about it.
Every book drive, every delivery, every smile — it's all run by students who believe that access to books shouldn't depend on your zip code.
Two ways to make a difference
Donate Books
Drop off gently used books or host a book drive.
Partner Your School
Are you a teacher, principal, or district administrator? We'd love to bring Books for Buddies to your students.
